​名詞句を作る基本パターンは以下の６つ。ここではpeopleという単語を例に挙げます。

①young people(若い人々）⇒形容詞＋people

②people in the community（そのコミュニテーの人々）⇒people＋前置詞句

③people living in poverty（貧困状態で暮らす人々）⇒people ＋現在分詞

④people affected by the policy（その政策で影響を受ける人々）⇒people＋過去分詞

⑤people to support（支援すべき人々）⇒people＋to 不定詞

⑥people who oppose the reform（改革に反対する人々）⇒people＋関係詞

​「〇〇句がどうのこうの、名詞が、動詞が、不定詞が、とやられると嫌！」という方もいらっしゃるでしょう。文法用語を使った説明は無視して構いません。ただ、young peopleが言えるのだからyoung children, young teachersが言えるだろう、people in the communityが言えるのだからchildren in this community, children in this country, the students in this schoolが言えるだろう、というふうに同じパターンで言える仲間を増やしていくことによって慣れていきましょう。そしてこれらの名詞句を一語のように扱えるよう練習すればいかにあなたのスピーキング、ライティングを流暢にさせ、リスニングやリーディングにも効果ありありなことに気がつかれることでしょう！！
